What a beautiful writer Shona Husk is and particularly in this series. The men are such thoughtful, caring individuals that goblin or not we easily see why the women are so drawn to them. Merryn was such a torn character but once he made up his mind then his heart and soul were hard to resist. I have loved this series with it's beautiful flow of words and almost poetic sadness at times as these deep thinking characters walk their path to happiness. The happy ever after is well-deserved.

Like the other books in this series ( Goblin King Prequel, Goblin King, Kiss of Goblin Prince)The Goblin Warrior is a great read! Had never read this author before Goblin King Prequel so glad I started! Anxious for the next book to get here.
This really is a good series. I loved the premise and how the author built on it. Characterization and even plot are lacking in areas. Not even the main characters are sufficiently developed in the last two books, but for me the overall story outweighed any problems in the books.
A very enjoyable trilogy with lots of attention paid to details and tastefully written romance scenes. Would have liked to have had an epilogue showing roan having his baby dai getting married and expecting his first child and meryn getting married and having his baby just to really tie everything up at the end but still loved reading it.
Sweet ending to the series even if it was shorter than I had expected. It would have been nice to have Nadine and Meryn run across her father Solomon working at the park. Then, have her introducing them to each other with her getting surprised that they have already met. The family gathering at the end was very simplified. I really enjoyed the series and felt as a whole it was worth reading.
The first of the cursed band of warriors to turn fully goblin, Meryn surrendered to the lure of gold in order to dull the pain of the loss of his family. Now that the curse is broken and he is back in the real world, Meryn doesn't feel he deserves a second chance at life, until he meets Nadine, a woman who makes him want to take that chance to live and love again.

I really liked For the Love of a Goblin Warrior, the final book in Shona Husk's Goblin King trilogy. This story is just a bit different from most typical mainstream romance in that the leading pair don't spend a lot of the book together. Instead we get just enough of them together to want to cheer them on to their HEA and we get to spend a lot of time delving into their individual back stories and wondering how they will be able to move beyond their pasts to get that HEA.

I liked seeing how former goblin Meryn struggled to fit into a world that jumped thousands of years during the time he was cursed and how he came to grips with his guilt at failing his King and his family. One thing that I really loved about Meryn is that having loved and lost didn't sour him to loving again. I also liked how Meryn and Nadine's individual histories touched and came together, and I really liked the way that the Nadine's father loved her so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own happiness (and freedom) for hers. The fact that Meryn provided the ending to Nadine's mother's favorite fairytale was also a nice touch.

For the Love of a Goblin Warrior was a very enjoyable ending to an enjoyable trilogy and has me looking to see what else Aussie author Husk has written.
This is a talented author, she makes you feel for the characters, I had tears in my eyes a few times, especially in regards to Nadine's father. Watching Meryn adjust to a whole new world was done realistically and made you feel how frustating it would be to go through yourself just being in a country where no one speaks your language, much less if you didn't know anything about modern technology on top of that. I recommend this series for the stories, there is not a lot of action or sex scenes, more of a romance and character study.
I liked this book quite a bit. I don't know if it's my favorite or not of this series, since I loved Dai's story so much, but it's at least tied.

Since Meryn was only mentioned a few times in the first book, and had a couple small chapters and his rescue from the Shadowlands in the 2nd book, I didn't know what to expect since he was such a wild card (no pun intended). But I absolutely loved him, and am glad a whole book was dedicated to him.

Very enjoyable and recommended.
